I just got an email from the oh-so-talent Laura Hooper about her new totes featuring her signature wedding maps. The tote comes in two styles:

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Laura Hooper in person and experiencing her beautiful calligraphy. Laura taught herself calligraphy 5 years ago when a good friend was getting married and she wanted to give calligraphy as a gift. Since then, Laura has learned 29 different styles of calligraphy, from modern to ornate.

Among her many talents, is her ability to design entirely custom, couture invitations. She can have custom envelop liners made, have her calligraphy transformed into letterpress (a great way to personalize an invitation) or really any unique touches you want for your wedding invitations.

In fact, she has her own she has own invitation suite, Lucky Orchid Invitations. I’m particularly loving “Capri”– for a formal, intricate, and ornate wedding, this would be great a way to set the tone of your event.

“Paris” is sleek and modern and yet has a slightly old world. For a wedding blending modern elements with a few retro touches this would be perfect.

I’ve featured Laura’s maps before in my Practical Details post, but its definitely worth mentioning again. Look at how cute the kissing fish are!

Laura’s pricing is online and she will start work on your order once she has a signed contract and deposit. Please know that ALL of this work is by hand and it will take her a minimum of two to three weeks to turn around an order. Also, please, please include extra envelopes, because mistakes addressing envelopes can be made!
