And now onto the wedding! Guests were greeted with the couple’s first initial on the gate to the ceremony location. Valet took guests cars and directed them to the main lawn for the ceremony.

The program fans were placed on each guest chair.

The ceremony aisle was lined with rose petals in a paisley pattern.

The bride and groom met each other before the ceremony and took photos.

Real Wedding- Part One

First up the lovely couple. I love the light in this photo.

carissa32

The bride wore a lovely Carolina Herrera dress.

carissa31

And the bridesmaids, all 12 of them, yes 12, wore adorable JCrew dresses that featured pockets!

carissa1

This was by far the largest bridal party I’ve worked with. When I lined them up for the ceremony I had serious Madeline flashbacks (you know that kid’s book?)

carissa8

The ring bearer, Pepper. This was seriously the best behaved dog I’ve met.

carissa11

The bride’s bouquet by Curly Willow featured parrot tulips, oncidium orchids, blueperum and maidenhair fern.

carissa16

Since there were so many of bridesmaids, I suggest they carry a simple poesy of mango calla lilies tied with a burnt orange ribbon.

carissa301

Pepper didn’t join the processional, but instead delivered the rings when called by the maid of honor at the right moment. Seriously, the best behaved dog ever.

Fabulous Parisian Wedding

parisianwedding2

I don’t generally post real wedding unless they were designed by me, but this wedding was too fabulous not to post. I saw this originally on This is Glamorous and quickly clicked through to the full spread on Veranda. I’ve had quite the obsession with all things French and the countryside and this wedding is all about my favorite elements.

parisianwedding5

I love the wood detail, the maidenhair fern, the soft blue runner.

parisianwedding3

I love the silvery leaves and the doves.

I love the feathers in the bouquet.

parisianwedding4

And the bride’s head piece is so very glamorous!

Introducing our Guest Blogger: Angelina

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Hi everyone, since last week’s story was so popular, I had a recent bride and client, Angelina, write about the challenges she faced planning her wedding. Her story is about an issue that every couple will face at one point or another in the wedding planning process: how to blend family traditions with the personality of the couple. As Angelina shows, its all about choosing the traditions that do have meaning for you and adding in the details that reflect your personality.

Real Wedding: Angelina & Jeff

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

On memorial day weekend I had the pleasure of helping coordinate Angelina & Jeff’s wedding. Sweet Monday was their photographer and the photos are just gorgeous!

First of all, lets start with my favorite part of any ensemble… the shoes. I love the vibrant orange, such a fun spring time color.
