Guess what? Its this little wedding blog’s birthday. Lets throw a party! We’ll need some balloons…
A party dress…
and some candles…
I’ll set the table for guests…
And let them eat cake!

I’m a big fan of using retro and vintage inspiration for event design (plus you can find a lot of decor at flea markets or eBay for very reasonable prices).
I love the simple tile runner of this table with bowls of floating flowers. It looks so effortlessly chic.
I love the 60′s style of this bride.
I love these bridesmaids dresses– slightly 60′s and very practical. I’d wear this dress again!
A polka-dot tea length dress? Too cute.
I love how the bright 60′s colored flowers pop against the color of the bike.

Green is my favorite color and poped aganist a white background, the effect is just so pretty and modern.
I love the texture and layering of this all green centerpiece.
I love this organic arrangement of the moss and succulents. This would be so pretty down an aisle or around the base of the wedding cake especially if candles were tucked in to the moss.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love subtle themes that can be used in a couple different ways and flags are another way to add style to your wedding without breaking the bank.
For a destination wedding, using country flags for seating cards would be so cute.
Or overhead, to add color and movement to your wedding design.
These little flags could be used to garnish your signature drink. Too cute!

“I love the falling snow holiday ornament place card holders! Ever since my boyfriend proposed to me with a gorgeous diamond engagement ring he bought from http://www.idonowidont.com I have been wedding planning 24/7. I am looking for the cutest little items and those are perfect for the guests tables!”
Michelle, Beau-coup will email you shortly with your gift card. Congratulations!
I have recently visited two new locations avaliable for weddings and private events. The first is Sycamore Estate, a vacation rental that allows wedding for up to 150 guests. The home has a very rustic, shabby chic kind of feel to it. Receptions take place in the backyard.
The home has three bedrooms and is avaliable for overnight accomodations (with kids it can sleep up to 11). Some notes: guests would need to be shuttled in, a kitchen would need to be setup in the garage, all tables/chairs/lighting would need to be brought in.
Vasquez Ranch is located in Gaviota and is very rustic, beautiful and private. The ceremony area is an oak grove (above) and the reception site is huge grassy lawn nestled in between two hills. The location can hold up to 300 guests and is $7450 to rent. This location is 100% raw, power, bathrooms, the catering kitchen, and all rentals will need to be brought in. Valet and a shuttle are also required since the ceremony and reception sites are at two different locations.
Happy Halloween! Photo by Red Photo Co.
Fall 2009 wedding shows showed a lot of off the shoulder-styles, short wedding dress (finally!) and a lot of floaty ethereal-ness. I love the Romona Keveza gown (above, center), the color and the chic little belt are so sophisticated. (above left, Vera Wang, above right Vineyard Collection)
The top row is all by Monique Lhuillier. How floaty and pretty are her dresses? And finally, more short wedding dresses! Cute, flirty, and functional these options are adorable (second row, from left, Vineyard Collection, Reverie by Melissa Sweet, Melissa Sweet).

Sexy, silver, and strappy– what’s not to like? Shoes by Rene Caovilla, photo by Ryan Phillips Photography.
I like when an element of the event design can be used in a couple of different ways. I love this modern and simple centerpiece made of painted manzanita and faux birdies.
From the super talented Rebecca Thuss are these adorable favors.
These birdie themed sticks are suppose to be plant labels, but how cute would they be as seating cards?
Gotta love any clutch from Red Ruby Rose!
And a wedding cake also by Rebecca Thuss. Its perfect for a fall or winter wedding.
