Wedding Planning Tips: Picking a Caterer- Part Two

So now that it’s time to make some phone calls and review proposals, here are some things to consider: When you chat with the caterer, do they ask you good questions that you hadn’t though of?  Do they seem interested in learning about your big day? Do they use keywords that fit into your wedding vision (for instance, you’re thinking BBQ and they say “Rustic, Casual, Fun”)?

New Rentals: Translucent

I saw these new translucent tables, display cases, and panels when I visited Town and Country Event Rentals while I was picking out china and glassware for my wedding. I loved the panels so much that I added them to my order. I set them up behind the DJ and used green uplights to color the panels to match my theme. The DJ loved them, and so did I!

How cool would it be to use the display cases for escort cards?

Today it’s my pleasure to bring you a feature on another of Santa Barbara’s outstanding wedding photographers. Tim & Cheryl Halberg are a husband and wife team that specialize in wedding photography and portraits. Both graduated from the Brooks Institute of Photography, and both have a passion for providing outstanding customer service and producing images that truly capture a moment in time. Decor Source: Wild Things

I’m constantly searching for new sources for decor and Wild Things has tons of lanterns, beaded curtains, and chandeliers. I particularly love their chandelier selection with tons of styles and colors to chose from. The best part by far are the super reasonable prices.

Decor: New Lanterns

I love using lanterns and candlelight for decor. There is just something so simple and romantic about candles.

Over at CB2 they have these cool funky lanterns that are called “Recycled Lanterns” and are made from iron sheets that were used for brand packaging. For a hipster, slight kitsch wedding these would be perfect for ceremony decor or even as centerpieces.
