The inspiration for this board came from the farm sink filled with lilacs by Miki Duisterhof. I just love the idea of pairing the purple lilacs with touches of orange to really make the colors pop. I picture this wedding taking place in the French countryside, with oodles of delicious bread, and the rustic, but elegant countryside to serve as the backdrop for the reception.

So, I’m back from my trip to New York and it was amazing. Lots of eating, wandering around museums, and shopping. The cherry blossoms are in bloom and reminded me of these photos.
Perfect for a spring wedding, cherry blossoms are so delicate and just darn pretty.
I love the styling of this photo so much (if you can’t tell, I have a serious obsession with wellies).
Cherry blossoms and blue skies, what could be better?

Um, wellies at a wedding? Freaking adorable. Photo by Meg Perotti.
I’ve been in love with this Duston Todd photo of the bride (in a tea length dress!) and groom ever since I saw it a few months ago on Coco & Kelley. I’ve equally been obsessed with these Chinese lanterns hung like light columns for a couple of years (by Martha Stewart, of course). I picture this wedding taking place near the ocean, with cute polka dot details (though not too many) and a very casual buffet reception with gourmet sandwiches.

The inspiration for this board was two fold. I adore the dreamy photo above and have been quite taken with this photo from the Marie Antoinette movie that came out a few years back.
I picture this wedding taking place in a French Chateau. The palate would be the palest pink with a hint of gray to balance out the femininity of the pink.

Pink, polkadot, peeptoe shoes, what could be cuter? Photo by Jennifer Skog.
This board was inspired by the styling of the green lady in the bottom left corner by Lacey Style. I love the over sized flower petals which remind me of delicate hydrangea. I picture this wedding taking place in Paris, with the bride wearing a stunning sparkly number for her wedding dress and then changing into that gorgeous green suit for the grand exit.

I think every Thursday I’m going to take a break from wedding posts and post stuff that inspires me from the design world at large.
I love this pegboard wall in a soft sea foam green. So organized and in such a calming color.
This bedroom has everything I want: a chandelier, a chaise, and a fabulous tufted headboard. Not to mention the bed linens are fab-u-lous.
I want these magazine holders, like now.
Oh yes, and this crazy art installation of Pellegrino bottles.

Blue, velvet, shoes! Oh so fabulous! Photo by Mike Colon.
Since everyone seemed to love that vintage photo of the cascading, arch tulle, dress I though it would be the perfect inspiration for my vintage glam board. I picture this wedding being less about colors or any specific decor, and more about the fashion and the glamorous location. I picture the “bride” in the photo would have the most stylist bridesmaids ever, a Rolls Royce, and very dry martinis for her guests.

Such sweet little vases. Found here.
I found this company on Etsy, Domestic Construction, and I love the re-purposed tea cups and mugs made into overhead lights. These could be perfect for a postmodern-indie-English-tea-soiree-wedding, don’t you think?
The light looks so pretty coming through this mug.
I, of course, want the green one for my office (shocking I know).
Oh my love affair with vintage never ends!
I’m in love with this 20′s styled photo shoot.
Fabulous hats…
Fabulous gloves… Anyone else want to bring back gloves for everyday wear?
And of course a hot ride. Swoon.
